Like (Something)
Paper drawing, 2009

We commonly talk using figurative expressions 'like something...' when explaining something new. There is a allegory, 'The blinds grope the elephant.' It is about the stupidity that someone just knows about small parts but think that he knows all. I focus on the objects that the blinds mention groping the parts of the elephant in the story. The legs is said 'It is like column, like tree trunk or like a large mortar' according to different versions of the story. I cut white thick papers to make figures of the differently mentioned objects in each parts of the elephant and arranged the drawings at the possible position of the elephant.
